Beth + Ryan = MARRIED

I must apologize for having such a long break between posts, this summer has been crazy busy with weddings, I finally have a chance to sit down and blog about this awesome couple I got to photograph back in June.

Beth and Ryan are a perfect couple, full of life and energy. The day started out very rainy and we had some worries of what we would do for photos as there was no back up plan set. But as Beth stepped out of her house the clouds broke apart and we saw some sun as Ryan got his first look at his stunning bride.

We started the day at St. Vital Park, took a few quick photos there and headed to the Exchange. We got some great shots as you'll see below only to be caught in the middle of some rain. Luckily the girls got back to the limo before the rain really came down. We waited it out and then got a bunch more photos before getting out into the country. We were hoping for some great country road photos, but the wind did not allow such a thing to happen. Once we arrived at Bridges Golf Course we snapped some more photos before the ceremony. The ceremony was romantic and funny, it was beautiful.

Once the bride and groom greeted everyone we went out onto the golf course for some couple photos before the rain started up again.

Erica + Neil = MARRIED!!!

I had the privilege of photographing Erica and Neil's wedding day, they were a wonderful couple to work with and their wedding party was fantastic. The wedding took place at Inn at the Forks, we then headed over to the Exchange District where we used the gorgeous Hamilton Building and Red River College. We had a warm sunny day and were able to take some photos outside. Erica and Neil, you both were amazing to work with, thank you for having me along for the most important day of your lives!

Costa Rica 2012

After 2 years of not traveling with my backpack it was time to get back on a plane and find a new place to explore. This time I headed to Central America to meet up with my friend Damien who I met while traveling in Jordan. He was coming all the way from Belgium so we had to make the most of the 2 weeks we had in Costa Rica.

We started the trip out not so great, my bag got left in Denver and wouldn't arrive until the following morning, our SUV wasn't ready for us either and would only be available the the next day.. After a few battles with the car company and the airline we finally got on the road and headed to Arenal, a volcano town. Had a fantastic time there for a couple of nights and headed to the Cloud Forest, Monteverde for one night, we wanted to do some ziplining there as we heard it was amazing, and it did not disappoint. We spent some time on the peninsula and did some swimming in the ocean, had an encounter with some very mean monkeys and met a bunch of Canadians along the way. From Playa Tamarindo we drove straight across the country to Puerto Viejo for a couple nights to enjoy the Caribbean coast and take in some snorkeling and scenery. We ended our 2 week trip in Manuel Antonio where we had the most spectacular view of the sunset every night from our hostel.

We saw lots of wildlife, met a lot of nice people and had one fantastic time. Here's a few photos I took, needless to say I took more than what I'm posting, but these are a few of my favorites.
